Austin Butler “would forever remember” the time he had with Lisa Marie Presley prior to her untimely passing on January 12.

In a statement on Friday, the “Elvis” actor stated, “My heart is absolutely shattered for Riley, Finley, Harper and Priscilla at the awful and unexpected passing of Lisa Marie,” referring to the singer’s daughters and mother.

“I will always treasure the calm times we shared and I am eternally grateful for the time I was lucky enough to be beside her bright light,” he continued. “Her kindness, love, and genuineness will never be forgotten.”

Just a few days prior, Butler escorted Lisa Marie to the 2023 Golden Globes, where he won the Best Actor in a Drama prize for his performance in the biographical film “Elvis” about her father.

Butler, 31, was able to express his gratitude to Lisa Marie and her mother, Priscilla, in his acceptance speech.

In his distinctive Southern drawl, he remarked, “Thank you folks, thank you for opening your hearts, your memories, and your home to me,” as two women proudly looked on. “Priscilla, Lisa Marie, I will always love you.”

After noticing Lisa Marie appeared unbalanced and need assistance moving around, fans expressed their concern for her.

After Lisa Marie, 54, suffered a heart arrest and was taken to the hospital on Thursday, the joyous occasion swiftly turned into sadness.

Before her mother, 77, announced that her “wonderful daughter Lisa Marie had departed us,” the “Lights Out” singer “coded many times” and was placed into a medically induced coma.

She was the most fervent, powerful, and loving woman I’ve ever met. Riley, the singer’s 33-year-old daughter with ex-husband Danny Keough, is still alive. With her fourth ex-husband, Michael Lockwood, she also had twins, Finley and Harper, who are now 14 years old.

Danny and Lisa Marie had a son together named Benjamin. He did, however, commit suicide in 2020.

It was informed on Friday by insiders that Lisa Marie will be buried at Graceland in Tennessee with her father, Elvis, and Benjamin.
