The crash killed Maggie Dunn, 17, and Caroline Gill, 15, who were both cheerleaders at Brusly High School in Louisiana.

After the accident, Liam Dunn, Maggie’s brother, is in very bad shape.

“Surgery is needed. Femur, tabula, left wrist, head, and other bones were broken. We pray “His father, Kenny, put a message on Facebook asking friends and family to give blood in his name.

We don’t know why God took our daughter, but I’m sure she’s doing well in heaven.

Booking papers show that Cauthron was still in jail on Monday afternoon. No one knows who Cauthron’s lawyer is.

District Attorney Tony Clayton said that the officer “has a lot to answer for” because of how fast he was driving and how careless he was.

Clayton told that, “It’s terrible that these kids missed the New Year, but we’ll stick to the facts.” “I don’t know why the cop was going so fast after this car. This cop is having trouble.”

Clayton: “Stop if it endangers lives. It’s unwise.”

The police hit the teens’ car while pursuing 24-year-old Tyquel Zanders, reported The Advocate.

After his automobile stalled, he was arrested and charged with house invasion, vehicle theft, and aggravated escape. It wasn’t immediately known if he had legal representation.

Brusly High School Principal Walt Lemoine said the losses were “devastating.” “Erin Martin and Tori Hill, Maggie’s parents, work at our school. Caroline’s older sister is a Brusly High senior with younger siblings.”

“Their losses will generate many emotions, concerns, and questions for our entire school, especially our children,” Lemoine said, adding that the school has a Crisis Intervention Team “made up of specialists trained to help students, parents, and school officials in difficult moments like this.” Counselors are also available for pupils.

Although Lemoine stated that the school will start Tuesday with an assembly and have school professionals on site all day “to help pupils who need special support”

The girls’ high school cheerleading team posted on Facebook, encouraging the community to think of the victims’ families.

Please keep Maggie Dunn and Caroline Gill’s families, friends, and the BHS community in your prayers. Their excitement and cheerfulness will be missed.

According to Facebook, a candlelight vigil is set for Monday at 5:30 p.m.
