Gayle King celebrates birthday with Oprah Winfrey

“Not one, but THREE birthday parties in 2022 came to an end! New York Hawaii and California, with all of my favourite people, “Monday, King posted on Instagram.

The TV personality posted a video of herself blowing out candles atop a tiered cake with yellow icing along with a carousel of pictures of her partying with her CBS Mornings coworkers, family, and friends, including BFF Oprah Winfrey and her boyfriend Steadman Graham.

The Temptations played their 1964 song “My Girl” and wished her a happy birthday while donning matching yellow suits, according to King, who said that their performance was the “greatest surprise.”

She wrote, “How did they know my favorite color is YELLOW! “I’d say the new year is off to a wonderful start. I sense love.”

Many birthday greetings were left in King’s comment area by well-known pals like Mindy Kaling, Rita Wilson, and DJ D-Nice.

On Monday, Winfrey, 68, tweeted a video of her trekking with King, who was celebrating her birthday.

“What progress did @gayleking make throughout our five-hour hike? Gayle took seven hours, actually “The video was captioned by the media mogul. She says her toes hurt today, so here you go.

In a previous piece, Winfrey outlined how the excursion acted as a “thanks hike” towards the end of the year.

It’s a thanksgiving and praise hike, she explained, with the entire purpose of expressing thankfulness for the life you lead, the year you’ve had, and the blessings you’ve gotten. “I’ll be doing this today in honour of Barbara Walters, who has been a wonderful mentor and friend to me,” the speaker said.

Winfrey was especially appreciative that she could complete the hike a year after having knee surgery.
