Jason Derulo breaks foot ahead of Super Bowl performances

The “Talk Dirty” singer needs a cane to move around after breaking his foot three weeks ago while playing basketball when he landed on another player’s foot after going up for a rebound, according to TMZ.

Even though Jason, who also tore a ligament, didn’t require surgery, he gets daily physical therapy sessions and has had stem cells put into his body to hasten his rehabilitation.

The 33-year-old celebrity will be praying for quick recovery as he and the Black Keys are set to perform at the NFL TikTok Tailgate before the Super Bowl on February 11.

However, insiders tell the publication that despite not being totally recovered, Jason is eager to go ahead with his performance.

The “Ridin’ Solo” hitmaker recently said that failures simply motivate him to work harder toward his goals and that he draws inspiration from his “dark moments.”

He said: “My downfalls and when I have low moments, those moments really drive me.

“At my lowest lows, it’s like, ‘Dang, I gotta really sink my teeth in and just go for gold.'”

And Jason – who has a 20-month-old son called Jason Jr. with ex-girlfriend Jena Frumes – explained that working out has been key to escaping his personal woes.

He added in a recent interview: “The gym is a perfect place to let off the steam because you can go as hard as you need to go.

“When you just wanna scream inside and you wanna just, like, ‘Ahh, I can’t believe this is happening,’ you can put all of that energy into the weight. And I think, for me, the gym has been a lifesaver.”
