Actress Kangana Ranaut has been tweeting about the movie Pathaan since it premiered on January 25 and shattered a number of box office records. After criticizing individuals who spoke about the “triumph over hate” after the success of Pathaan and claiming that the movie presents the “enemy” Pakistan favorably, Kangana tweeted that those in the Bollywood film business should “enjoy their achievement” and “keep away from politics.” Recently, Pathaan received compliments on Instagram from actors Alia Bhatt and Karan Johar. While Alia has stated that “love always wins,” Karan responded by writing that “love forever trumps hatred” in response to Pathaan’s opening day international gross of 106 crore rupees.

Kangana Ranaut, who just recently joined Twitter again after having her account suspended in 2020 for breaking the social media platform’s rules, tweeted on Saturday, “If Maine phir se yeh word suna “triumph over hate” toh logon ki wahi class lagegi jo kal lagi thi (Bollywood people, do not try to project that you are suffering from Hindu hate in this country.) koshish mat karna ki iss desh mein tum Hindu hate se suffer kar rahe ho I’ll enroll in your class if I hear another word about “triumph over hate”). Enjoy your success, put in good effort, and avoid politics.”

Kangana Ranaut has shared yet another tweet about Pathaan.

Reacting to her latest tweet, a section of Twitter users pointed out that Kangana was ‘desperately’ tweeting about Pathaan for her personal gains. A tweet read, “Chalo Pathaan ko side mein karte hai (let’s put Pathaan aside for a moment)… another example of ‘triumph over hate’ is how your last nine movies tanked one after another. Audience has rejected Kangana, we know you are desperate now to be where Smriti Irani (BJP leader and union minister) is.” Another person tweeted, “Madam ji, aap kaha se ho?? Bollywood se nahi ho?? Alag koi industry se aye ho kya (Are you not from Bollywood)??”

Kangana had earlier reacted to a user, who pointed out how her last film Dhaakad was a box office failure. Responding to the comment, Kangana had said on Friday, “Yes, Dhakad was a historic flop, when did I deny this? This is SRK ji’s first successful film in ten years, we also take inspiration from him, I hope we will also get a similar chance that India gave him. After all this India is great, it is generous, Jai Shri Ram.”

Kangana also challenged individuals who “say Pathaan is a triumph of love over hate” in a string of tweets on Friday. She claimed that only because of “India’s love and inclusiveness” for “a film named Pathaan” was the movie “running effectively” in theaters. When Kangana tweeted, “I agree with everyone who says Pathaan is the triumph of love over hatred, but whose love over whose hate? To be more specific, whose purchasing tickets and ensuring its success? Yes, 80 percent of the population in India is Hindu, yet despite this, a movie called Pathan that favorably portrays our adversary Pakistan and the ISI is still doing well. The spirit of India, which transcends hatred and judgment, is what makes it mahan (great)…”

The actor wrote as well, “The love of India has defeated adversaries’ petty politics and their hatred. Lekin (but) if you have great hopes, please take care… The movie “Pathan Sirf” is now playing. Jai Shri Ram, goonjega toh yahan sirf… Pathaan is simply a movie; the nation will only hear screams of “Jai Shri Ram” instead.”
