Kuttey, Aasmaan Bhardwaj’s maiden film as a director, did not do well during its opening weekend. Only 3.35 crore net were made from the multi-starrer, which also starred Arjun Kapoor, Tabu, Naseeruddin Shah, Konkona Sensharma, Radhika Madan, Shardul Bhardwaj, and Kumud Mishra.

The opening weekend takings fell short of the 3.80 crore nett that the Hindi version of Varisu made. Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay are the stars of the Tamil movie.

The Hindi movie, which is the industry’s first big release of the year, had a disappointing opening day on Friday. It made $1.07 million nett in its first weekend of release.

It saw a small improvement on Saturday with a nett revenue of 1.20 crore, but then fell again on Sunday with a revenue of 1.05 crore.

The robbery drama did not draw any additional spectators over the long weekend due to the celebrations of holidays like Makar Sankranti, Lohri, and Pongal.

The movie “Aasmaan” follows three distinct gangs as they each devise their own strategies to loot a money truck and ultimately cross paths. The three parts of the Hindi movie, which is set in Mumbai and has a score by Vishal Bhardwaj, are used to narrate the plot.

Gulzar, a seasoned director, wrote the lyrics. Luv Ranjan, Vishal, Ankur Garg, and Rekha Bhardwaj are the producers of Kuttey.

When the movie’s teaser first debuted last month, Tabu spoke about how her part was originally intended for a male actor. However, it was later modified for her.

Asmaan is a different kind of filmmaker, and his work cannot be compared to Vishal Bhardwaj’s. Thought and aesthetics are undoubtedly related, yet his cinema is distinct. This character was really altered for me after being developed for a male performer. Playing this persona was both really difficult and enjoyable.
