Marilyn Manson sexual abuse lawsuit dismissed by judge

Ashley Smithline, who told at the time that she had experienced psychological, sexual, and physical abuse while dating Manson, 53, became the fourth woman to bring a lawsuit against the musician in June 2021.But on Tuesday, a Los Angeles judge dismissed Smithline’s case without prejudice since she made no decision regarding whether to represent herself or retain a new counsel in the wake of Jay Ellwanger’s resignation. She has the option to resubmit her claim.

In a statement provided to Manson’s lawyer Howard King stated, “We wish her well and will continue to seek to ensure that a heavy price will be paid by those who have tried to misuse our justice system.”

Smithline has accused Manson (real name Brian Warner) of abusing her. In a July court declaration, Manson (real name Brian Warner) claimed that their 2010 relationship, as well as his relationships with at least three others, were “consensual.”

He claimed in court filings obtained by that “I never abused, assaulted, raped, intimidated, or trafficked any of these ladies, as they assert.” “Their allegations of abuse, assault, rape, threats, and other things against me are categorically false.”

Early in 2021, Smithline made her allegations against the celebrity public. In her lawsuit, she alleged that Manson had raped, molested, whipped, and slashed her as well as “branded” her by inking his initials into her calf.

She told after filing, “It has been crucial for me to come forward the way I have because I live in constant terror even today. “I want to go forward and recover from the awful treatment I experienced, so I’m looking for justice. I want Brian Warner to be finally held responsible.”

At the time, a Manson spokeswoman stated that the rock star “vehemently” refuted the claims made in the lawsuit.

At least 15 additional women have accused Manson of sexual assault, including Game of Thrones actress Esmé Bianco and Westworld actress Evan Rachel Wood. He has refuted each and every charge.
