Martina Navratilova have told she has cancer twice.

A representative for the nine-time Wimbledon champion confirmed that Navratilova has both stage 1 throat and breast cancer. She went to the doctor because a lymph node in her neck was getting bigger.

Martina Navratilova, who is 66 years old, told that she is thinking about her two diagnoses and hoping for the best. I am hopeful that I will grow out of this problem.” “I’m hoping that things will work out well. It will stink for a while, but I will fight with everything I have.”

The spokesman also said, “HPV is the type of cancer, and this type responds well to treatment. Later, she said that the breast cancer has nothing to do with the throat cancer. Both of these cancers are just starting out.”

“Because of the recent diagnoses, Martina won’t be covering the Australian Open for Tennis Channel from their studio, but she hopes to be able to join in from time to time by Zoom,” they added.

The news comes 13 years after Navratilova beat breast cancer for the first time. She has talked about her first cancer diagnosis in a piece for Novartis’s My Time, Our Time campaign. “You realize that your life can change in a nanosecond, so you should definitely seize the day,” she said.

Martina Navratilova said this about her time in treatment: “Being a positive person helped a lot, and so did being around other positive people.”

When she was first told she had breast cancer, Navratilova said she “cried” when she heard the news.

“It really knocked me off my feet. I feel like I’m in charge of my life and my body, but now this has happened and I can’t do anything about it.”

In September 2010, she told everyone that she no longer had cancer.

With her win in 1990, Navratilova became the first person to win Wimbledon’s singles event nine times. Before that, the record was eight, which she broke. She won the coveted tournament a total of 12 times, 11 times in singles and 11 times in doubles.
In the Novartis video, she said, “I’m most proud of the 80 times I won both singles and doubles in the same event.”
