Michelle Williams, 42, wore her chin-length blonde hair in a gentle, wavy style and accessorized with a matching Tiffany necklace, pair of earrings, and ring.

Philipps, 43, wore a floor-length grey tank dress with a matching shawl and gold cuff bracelet, letting her pink-tinged hair flow straight over her shoulders.

The stars have become a fan-favorite fixture at major awards shows over the years — and in 2019, Philipps revealed that she even has one of Williams’ Golden Globe awards at her home.

The couple have stayed inseparable since their time starred together on Dawson’s Creek in the early 2000s. Williams even claimed that Philipps—who serves as the godmother to her daughter Matilda, 17—was her soul mate in a 2016 interview with PEOPLE.

“She and I have my heart. She is living proof that a man need not be the love of your life. That right there is my true passion, “said Williams. Williams’ daughter Matilda and Philipps’ oldest kid Birdie, now 14 years old, “get along” well and are “kind of like cousins, in a way,” Philipps said to in the same year.

The Cougar Town alum continued, “I think that is the best representation of their relationship.” “They essentially feel connected. Michelle is, in a sense, like family to me.”

Williams calling her “the love of my life,” Philipps  at the time, “Anytime anyone publicly declares their love for you, I mean, I feel like that’s kind of amazing. I’m publicly declaring my love for her back.”

“We live on different coasts, and unfortunately for us, we don’t get to see each other in person all that much. But we really make an effort to reach out and to talk and to come to each other when we need support and we need someone,” added the Freaks and Geeks alum. “And we’ve really been there for each other through a lot of different places in our lives, and we’re that much closer for it.”

Williams and Philipps shared the red carpet at the Gotham Awards in New York City in November of last year. The four-time Oscar nominee claimed she would want her Dawson’s Creek co-star to play her in a biopic while speaking  at the event.

Williams remarked, “She knows me better than anyone.” We are really different, therefore it is not an easy decision. Williams elaborated on why she choose Philipps, stating that “she understands every single detail about me, so she would get it perfect.” On The CW right now, the 28th annual Critics’ Choice Awards are being shown live.
