Ramona Singer hopes newest “RHONY” cast wouldn’t try to imitate her
Ramona Singer hopes the newest "RHONY" cast wouldn't try to imitate her....
Since her tenure on “The Real Housewives of New York” came to an end, Ramona Singer has “never been happy.”
The former reality TV actress said in an interview on Thursday that she has more time to devote to herself after Bravo decided to recast the “RHONY” series.
“I’ve worked hard my entire life, and I’m about 60 now. It’s time for me to just have fun,” she told the publication. And doing the show is difficult. People really believe it to be simple. Stressful, stressful, stressful.
She even claimed that she is “happier” and “calmer” now that she “can control [her] own narrative.”
The 66-year-old singer continued, “I don’t miss it at all. I wouldn’t exchange it for anything; it was a wonderful experience.
The entrepreneur made it clear that Bravo viewers only saw an exaggerated version of her when she was fired from the show after appearing on it for all 13 seasons.
She said, “They didn’t tell me what to do; I just knew how to make [drama].” Was that actually me? Actually, no. Or was I on something? Absolutely.”
The singer originally made her intention to leave the Bravo program public when she exclusively told that she didn’t want to be a part of it “any longer.”
It’s not for me right now, she said. Sources later informed, however, that the sentiment was mutual because Bravo did not give her the chance to make a comeback, which the reality star eventually confirmed.
She recalled that Bravo had unilaterally decided to fire everyone. Simply reject us all with it. Singer, Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Leah McSweeney, and Eboni K. William made up the season 13 cast of “RHONY.”
After “RHONY’s” massively failed last season, the network revealed its plan to revamp the show and cast entirely new actors. They were also beginning a new “Legacy” edition that would feature former “Housewives” at the same time.
Some fan favorites were included, however Singer was ultimately dropped from the cast after criticizing the “Legacy” concept in the media.
She added on the “Reality with the King” podcast, “I also feel like the ‘Legacy’ [program], how could it be truly good? The individuals they plan to bring back are those they didn’t want to renew.
“So what happens next? Are you going to refer to it as “The Loser Show” or “The Loser Legacy”?
Sai De Silva, the creative director, Ubah Hassan, a model and philanthropist, Erin Dana Lichy, a home improvement expert, Jenna Lyons, the former president of J.Crew, Jessel Taank, and brand marketing and communications specialist Brynn Whitfield make up the new “RHONY” cast.
Influencer Lizzy Savetsky was also cast, however she ultimately pulled out of the project before it could be filmed.
