The daughter was welcomed by Riley Keough and her spouse, Ben Smith-Petersen. While reading a letter from his wife at Lisa Marie Presley’s memorial service at Graceland on Sunday, Smith-Petersen made a stunning revelation.

“I appreciate you showing me that in this life, love is the only thing that counts. In a letter to her deceased mother, Keough said, “I hope I can love my daughter the way you loved me, the way you loved my brother and my sisters.

“I’m grateful that you gave me my heart, my courage, my humour, my manners, my temper, my wildness, and my stubbornness. My sister, my brother, and I are all products of your heart, as well as our sisters and parents.

Smith-Petersen, who married Keough in 2015, didn’t provide any other information on the birth or name of their daughter. The youngster was Lisa Marie‘s grandchild, who tragically passed away last week at the age of 54.

The late Elvis Presley’s only child and rock ‘n’ roll heiress, Priscilla Presley, passed away on January 12 from a cardiac attack. Along with Riley, Lisa Marie was the mother of Benjamin Keough, who committed suicide in July 2020, and twin daughters Finley and Harper Lockwood, both 14 years old. He was 27.

Riley, who was scheduled to address the crowd at the memorial, sat in the front row while her husband read the touching letter to her.

She recalled, “I remember you bathing me when I was a newborn, driving me in my car seat listening to Aretha Franklin, taking me for ice cream after school in Florida. Riley spoke about her mother’s death for the first time in an Instagram post last week.

The actress from “Daisy Jones & The Six” posted a vintage image of herself holding flowers and gazing up at her mother. She just added a red heart emoji to the post’s text.

Along with singers Alanis Morissette and Axl Rose, Sarah Ferguson, a close friend of the late legend, attended the memorial service in Memphis on Sunday.
