Riley Keough, the daughter of Lisa Marie Presley, paid tribute to her late mother at a memorial service held at Graceland.

The actress from “Daisy Jones & The Six,” who was scheduled to address the crowd at the memorial, asked her husband Ben Smith-Petersen to read a letter in her place.

Her message began, “Thank you for becoming my mother in this life.” “I’ll always be appreciative.” Keough said in her letter that she remembered “everything” about her late mother.

She stated, “I remember you bathing me when I was a newborn, driving me in my car seat listening to Aretha Franklin, and taking me for ice cream after school in Florida.

She added, referring to her late brother Benjamin Keough, “I remember you singing to me and my brother lullabies at night, and how you’d lay with us until we fell asleep.”

“I still recall what it was like to be adored by the most devoted mother I’ve ever known. I remember as a youngster how comfortable it felt to be in your arms, and I remember it two weeks ago on your couch.

In a cardiac attack on January 12, Lisa Marie passed away. 54 years old. At the service, Priscilla also ascended the stage to read the poem “The Old Soul,” which was written by one of her granddaughters.

The poem continued by mentioning Benjamin, who committed suicide in July 2020 at the age of 27.

She posted a vintage photo of herself as a little child clutching flowers and gazing up at her mother. Post captioned by her. Priscilla confirmed Lisa Marie’s passing earlier this week by speaking out.

Elvis Presley’s wife stated, “It is with heartbreaking news that I must disclose that my darling daughter, Lisa Marie, has left us.”

She was the most fervent, powerful, and loving lady I had ever met.

Keough and her mother frequently posed for pictures together because of their close relationship.

In a February 2021 birthday message, Lisa Marie referred to Keough and her twin kids, Finley and Harper, saying, “Like daily, I couldn’t have gotten it through without these three by my side.”

Riley and Benjamin were both a part of Lisa Marie’s marriage to Danny Keough, her first husband. She had been open about her grief following Benjamin’s suicide by self-inflicted gunshot.
