Sadie Sink is getting ready for a sad farewell.

Sink was honest with Today’s Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush on Wednesday morning about  season 4 ending on a cliffhanger. What will happen after the fifth and final season of the Netflix hit.

Sink admits that she doesn’t know much about, just like everyone else. “We know it’s going to happen, and we know it’s the last season. I’m sure it’ll be sad,” the actress said while promoting her new movie. The Whale. “Without giving anything away, I have no idea what will happen because of how season 4 ended.

Max Mayfield, played by Sink, was in a coma at the end of Season 4 because the villain Vecna almost killed him (Jamie Campbell Bower). Even though Vecna was temporarily defeated, he hurt Max so badly that she was almost killed before Eleven saved her (Millie Bobby Brown). Max’s friends were around her as she lay in a hospital bed, not moving or making any sounds.

Max’s fate and life are still up in the air, but she will be in the last season. Sink, who is now 20 years old, is already sad about the end of the show. Since she was 14, she has played Max.

“It will be terrible. It’s going to be awful “she said on set about the end of the show. “It’s like a family with these kids and this whole cast and crew. People always say that, but I really believe it. And to think that we have to say goodbye to that sense of safety and the knowledge that we’ll see each other again next season?”

She also said, “It’s scary and sad, but I guess it’s exciting to start a new chapter.”

The young stars of “Stranger Things” have always talked about how close they are. Sink had told Access before that they have become close friends as well as coworkers. Sink said, “I think we’d be so lost without each other if we didn’t have all the kids on the show.” “We rely on each other a lot when things get crazy or when we need to talk to someone who knows exactly what we’re going through. We’re not alone.”

She went on to say something about the other main character: “The fact that Millie was the only girl at first made it even better. So, I think it was great that we were able to talk.”
