Pathaan, which made 55 crore on its first day of release, is Bollywood’s biggest opening, according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh. With these numbers, Pathaan outperformed Yash’s KGF: 2 Hindi (53 crore) and War (51 crore) on their first day of release.
Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand, debuted in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on January 25, a day before Republic Day 2023. The company behind it is Yash Raj Films.
The action-packed movie reportedly made $100 million on its first day of release worldwide. After a four-year absence, SRK is back on the big screen with Pathaan.
This movie is an action-spy. The character played by Salman Khan in the Tiger films, which are also a part of the new shared universe created by YRF, makes an extended cameo appearance. War is another entry in the series, and Siddharth is the only director.
On social media, other actors also posted greetings for Republic Day.
