Storm Reid thinks it was amazing to collaborate with Nia Long

Storm Reid grew up watching Nia Long on the big screen before they worked together in their new movie Missing.

During an interview on the most recent episode of Every Day podcast with host Janine Rubenstein, 19-year-old actor Sam Reid said that film industry veteran Justin Long, 52, “made me feel so supported and loved” while filming the new film by Nicholas D. Johnson and Will Merrick.

“I was familiar with her as a result of her being a fixture in my childhood television. I’ve been a supporter for quite some time “When questioned on a podcast if she and Long met before to the film, Reid answered that they had.

The actor went on to say that he had a fantastic time working with her. Before we even started filming, we had already established a strong relationship and she made me feel so loved and supported by everyone on set.

The new film follows Reid’s character June as she looks for her mother (Long) when she disappears on vacation, and Reid said she was “thankful” for the bond she built with Long during filming.

“I’m just happy to have someone as lovely and stunning as her on my side. She’s famous, iconic, and legendary “To which Reid chimed in. To put it simply, “Working with very good individuals is just cool.”

In response to a question about which of Long’s “early movies” Reid has seen, the actress said, “[1997’s] Love Jones.”

And I was like, ‘Oh yes, this is a nice movie,'” Reid said of the time his girlfriend made him sit down to see Love Jones. “She is extremely talented and lyrical. Amazing, really.”

Reid also mentioned in the podcast that getting into character as June from Missing “wasn’t hard at all.”

She described herself as a typical adolescent on a quest for self-understanding.

“Thank God I haven’t been placed in a situation where my mom is absent,” Reid remarked. You’d walk to the ends of the planet or do anything to make sure your parent is safe, but it’s nothing compared to the unconditional love that parents feel for their children.
