Anurag claims that SRK  film Pathaan sparked a revolution in India

Anurag Kashyap, a director, claims that Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, the quickest Hindi film to break the 300 crore mark in India, is sparking a revolution. Anurag, who has been praising the Shah Rukh Khan-starring movie ever since it opened last week, claimed in a new interview that viewers flocked to theaters to watch it despite demands for its boycott and banning in previous weeks.

Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Ashutosh Rana, and Dimple Kapadia are also featured in Pathaan. The first week earnings for Pathaan in India have reached 315 crore nett. Pathaan, a film directed by Siddharth Anand, was made available on January 25 in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. Since its debut, Pathaan has been shattering records. The movie previously set a record for fastest Hindi film to reach the 200 crore club in India.

In a recent interview with RJ Stutee on the celebrity talk program Aur Batao for the Hindustan Times, Anurag was questioned whether, other from love, movies might bring about “kranti” (revolution) in the nation “Hamesh hi aati hai filmon. Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan ke liye, aaj kranti ho rahi hai cinema halls mein (Films have also sparked revolution. Thanks to Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, there is a revolution taking place in Indian movie theaters right now.”

Anurag had already praised Pathaan and Shah Rukh’s performance after seeing it on the first day of its release. “Shah Rukh Khan itna haseen, itna sundar pehle kabhi laga nahi,” he had said to reporters. Usko dekhne aaye the aur dil khush ho gaya toh hum toh. Shah Rukh ke liye pehli baar aisa role hai, or itna khatarnak action hai. I’ve never seen Shah Rukh Khan that lovely. Mujhe nahi lagta unhone is tarah ka action pehle kiya hai. We are delighted that we came to see him. Shah Rukh played a role in such a risky action scene for the first time. He hasn’t likely ever taken this kind of action, in my opinion.

Shah Rukh Khan makes his big-screen comeback in a prominent role with Pathaan, more than four years after Zero (2018). In a recent interview with Mid-Day, Anurag had said, “Shah Rukh’s comeback movie has received mixed reviews from audiences “People are returning to theaters and dancing on screen as they do so. Concerning the movie, many are ecstatic. There is bliss, and it is a lovely euphoria. This feeling of joy was absent. This exhilaration also has a sociopolitical component; it is like making a declaration.”
