Recently, a Bushra Ansari clip from the Waseem Badami-hosted programme Her Lamha Purjosh has been making the rounds on YouTube.

The actor discussed the poor habit of Pakistani actors who are perpetually late to the shoot in the video.

She said of them, “The one who is used to coming late on the set will come late, regardless of what. She claimed that it is a habit that he or she is unable to break.

The latecomers are compelled to arrive late; they are unable to arrive on time. A producer casts them at his or her own peril because he or she will not arrive early, so we build plans around them.

I ask the production to provide us the time according to their schedule if they must arrive late. It doesn’t matter if you’re senior or junior; it’s about people who arrive late.

I can handle it, but the production is the one who suffers because so and so stars were cast by them, giving female performers more leeway.

The performers attend parties, play video games, or watch late-night movies, and in between all of these activities, they simply work a little bit. I frequently tell them, “Your work must be respected because your party depends on it, not the other way around.”
