Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves featurette unveils new creatures

• Paramount unveiled a new featurette ahead of the release of the movie.
• The short video introduces all the creatures in the movie.

In the upcoming movie Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, numerous fanciful and ludicrous creatures have recently been revealed by Paramount.

The new promotional featurette was unveiled by Paramount in a sneak peek for Paramount Insiders. On March 31, 2023, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves will hit theatres.

Honor Among Thieves, which is based on the well-known and adored tabletop game that has graced living rooms and kitchen tables for almost fifty years, tells the tale of a motley band of unlikely heroes who embark on an epic journey to pull off a seemingly unattainable heist. The group’s adventure, led by a charismatic thief, spirals out of control when they run into the wrong individuals.

The new movie will bring to the big screen the rich fantasy aspects of the first game along with Dungeons & Dragons’ distinctive, whimsical atmosphere for a hilarious and action-packed adventure.

The newly released short, which is a little over a minute long, introduces a few of the creatures that will appear in Honor Among Thieves. Chris Pine, who plays Edgin the Bard, introduces us to the fantasy setting of Dungeons & Dragons at the beginning of the clip. “What creatures will you meet when you go see the new movie Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves?” he asks. There are a few, I guess.

Meet the new creatures!

As Pine stated, the fans will first encounter the evil Owlbear, a cross between an owl and a bear. However, the creature, as described by Pine, manages to combine all the horrifying might of a bear with none of the fluffy, feathery charms of an owl.

The character of Holga the Barbarian, Michelle Rodriguez, then introduces the Mimic, a being that can, well, mimic everything.

The famed Gelatinous Cube, which disarms its victims, a Displacer Beast with tentacles and concealing abilities, and the Intellect Devourer, a walking brain are among the other creatures introduced in the film. Themberchaud, a very enormous dragon who, well, may have snacked on some other dragons before the questing group of adventurers came upon him, is also introduced in the new movie.

The movie is set to release in theatres on March 31.
