Kevin O’Neal, an actor most known for his work in early 1960s and early 1970s television and movies, has passed away. He was 77. Kevin, the younger brother of Oscar-nominated actor Ryan O’Neal, passed away on Saturday while sleeping, according to his nephew Patrick.

He later played in the films The Trouble with Girls (1969) and the musical At Long Last Love (1975), but his most well-known appearance was in the television series No Time for Sergeants (1964). Kevin played Private Ben Whitledge, the best buddy of Airman Will Stockdale, the main character of the show, according to the synopsis (Sammy Jackson).
In addition to his Oscar-winning niece Tatum O’Neal, Kevin is also survived by his brother Ryan, son Garrett, nephews Patrick and Griffin, and son Garrett.
