Manoj Bajpayee claims that he was a trained dancer who gave up after seeing Hrithik Roshan

• Manoj Bajpayee was trained to be a dancer, but quit due to Hrithik Roshan’s success.
• Manoj’s breakout film Satya came out in 1998, while Hrithik made his debut with Kaho Na Pyaar Hai in 2000.
• He recalled his early days and said he used to dance back then.

Manoj Bajpayee has acknowledged that he is a trained dancer who gave up on his goal after seeing Hrithik Roshan perform. Satya, Manoj’s breakthrough movie, was released in 1998, while Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, Hrithik’s debut feature, was released in 2000. Manoj recalled his theater days when he used to say that singing and dancing were requirements for artists. He recalled his early life and mentioned that he used to dance.

Since I come from the theater, it used to be a must that an artist be able to sing. You must sing in the chorus even if you don’t make it to the front line. He admitted at a chat program with Curly Tales, “Yeah, I used to dance as well.

He said, “Hrithik received training in main chhau dance, na. I’m trained in Chhau dance, but when Hrithik entered the profession and I watched his performance, I told myself, “This is the end of my dream of dance since I can’t learn this.” Maine Hrithik ko dekha toh maine kaha aaj ke baad dancing ka khwaab band kyuki ab ye nahi seekh sakta main.”

When reminded of his dancing in Satya’s well-known song Sapne Me Milti Hai, Manoj claimed that he had already performed all the necessary dance moves before to Hrithik’s debut.

Manoj is getting ready for the release of Rahul V. Chittella’s upcoming film, Gulmohar. A multigenerational family named the Batras, who must deal with concerns when they must leave their 34-year-old family home, are the subject of the movie.

Gulmohar, which will be released on March 3rd, also stars Simran, Kaveri Seth, Suraj Sharma, and Amol Palekar. Gulmohar, a Star Studios production in collaboration with Chalkboard Entertainment and Autonomous Works, will be made available digitally on Disney+ Hotstar. Speaking of Gulmohar, Manoj recently told PTI, “The film has something to offer everyone. Both laughing and choking will occur as a result.”
