Years before she became a member of the Royal Family herself, Meghan Markle speculated that Kate Middleton’s wedding was the result of a childish fantasy. A huge portion of the world watched in wonder as Prince William and Kate Middleton got married in 2011. But, not Meghan Markle, who had already begun criticising her. She was aware with the big day’s photos and reports long before she started dating Prince Harry, like many people all across the world.

According to reports, she made the decision to express her frustration about the event on her lifestyle blog, The Tig.

While the West Minster Abbey procession in April 2011 won the hearts of millions, Meghan hated the “pomp” surrounding the event, calling it “childhood fantasies.”

She claimed that she had never as an adult imagined herself as a glamorous princess.

She said: “Little girls dream of being princesses. I, for one, was all about She-Ra, Princess of Power.

“For those of you unfamiliar with the ’80s cartoon reference, She-Ra is the twin sister of He-Man and a sword-wielding royal rebel known for her strength.

“We’re definitely not talking about Cinderella here.

“Grown women seem to retain this childhood fantasy. Just look at the pomp and circumstance surrounding the royal wedding and endless conversation about Princess Kate.”

Kate Middleton stunned in a gorgeous long-sleeved wedding dress designed by Sarah Burton, creative director of the Alexander McQueen.

She wore a dress with elegant lace design and a classic style, which garnered a lot of media attention for its elegant and timeless design.

The dress received high appreciation for paying homage to the customary design of royal wedding gowns while still embracing modern features like the V-neckline and fitted waist.

She also brought a bouquet made out of hyacinth, myrtle, lily-of-the-valley, sweet William, and ivy.

Initially, Kate and her assistants tried to keep the design a secret, but Ms. Burton’s name was revealed a few weeks before the wedding.

“She was selected by Middleton, who is making increasing efforts to develop her own style, on grounds of her quirky elegance, discretion and low profile,” wrote the Sunday Times.

“A fashion source said that the dress will be a combination of Middleton’s own design ideas and Burton’s deep knowledge and understanding of high fashion.

“Middleton had hoped to keep Burton’s name quiet until the wedding.”
