Filmmaker Siddharth Anand has been enjoying the success of his most recent film, Pathaan, which stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham at the box office. Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films (YRF), which also made spy movies like War (2019) and Salman Khan’s Tiger series, is supporting the action movie. The YRF Spy Universe, which stars actors like Tiger (Salman Khan), Zoya (Katrina Kaif), Kabir (Hrithik Roshan), Pathaan (Shah Rukh Khan), and Rubai (Deepika Padukone), was discussed by Siddharth in a recent interview. He also hinted at a prequel centered on Jim, the Pathaan character played by John Abraham.

Siddharth also discussed how producer Aditya Chopra came up with the concept of a crossover between Salman Khan’s Tiger and Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan. Fans have praised Shah Rukh for making a comeback in a prominent role, but they have also praised John Abraham for his depiction of Jim, the Pathaan film’s antagonist.

Siddharth responded to Pinkvilla when asked if a movie featuring Jim’s backstory might be made, “It should be, but it’s too early to talk about anything. Jim’s character, in my opinion, does call for a prequel. The director also hinted that the prequel would delve into the relationship between Jim, played by John, and Kabir, played by Hrithik Roshan in War, which was hinted at in Pathaan. When asked if a spy movie starring Hrithik and John could materialize, Siddharth responded, “Why not? Anything can happen. The YRF Spy Universe is a playground where you can do whatever you want with the characters. You can have a Jim prequel, but wait—what if Jim is still alive? What if a harness was used to pull a parachute?

With a worldwide total of 634 crore in just seven days, Pathaan has surpassed all other Hindi films to become the highest grossing in the genre. The movie Pathaan came out on January 25. In a recent press conference with Pathaan’s crew, John not only put a stop to rumors of a dispute with Shah Rukh Khan, but he also referred to the actor as “the biggest action star of India.” “I used to think of myself as an action hero, but Shah Rukh has surpassed me in popularity today. He is a natural actor, and I still recall telling him that you are the nation’s national treasure and that I cannot hurt you.
