When meeting royals while on duty, fans are usually eager to present flowers and other gifts.

When one little girl met the Queen Consort on a charity visit today, she handed her a crumpled note with an adorable request for Princess Charlotte on it.

Camilla got it when she went to Storm Family Centre, a charity in south London that helps domestic abuse survivors, an experience she described as a privilege and an honour.

When she joined members of a lunch club for a cup of tea, she met eight-year-old Charlotte-Rose Hickson.

The youngster, known as Charlie-Rose by her family, handed the slightly crumpled note to the royal visitor, requesting a playdate with Charlotte.

“She said she would give my note to Charlotte, I’m hoping she’ll agree, you never know, and I think I’ll go to her house.” Charlie-Rose said after Camilla promised to pass it on to the young royal.

The schoolgirl was joined by her father, Wayne Hickson, 39, who was invited to the event because his mother volunteers with the charity.

“My daughter’s got a sign saying ‘The Original Princess Charlotte,'” he joked, adding that she wrote the note on the train from their home in Surrey to London after he revealed they were going to an event where Camilla was a guest.

“We were just talking about this a while back, and I said if you get a chance to meet the Queen, you don’t want to regret not mentioning it,” Mr Hickson, 39, added.

“She took it and assured me she would pass it on, so keep an eye on this.”
