Lady Gaga’s Oscar performance remains unconfirmed
Lady Gaga, one of the Oscar contenders for best original song, has not yet said whether she would perform her song at the Oscars in 2023. Gaga’s song “Hold My Hand” from Top Gun: Maverick is nominated. There is no information about Gaga, despite the other nominees’ performances being confirmed.
As is customary for the Oscars, each musician that is nominated performs their chosen song throughout the ceremony. This year’s Academy Awards are expected to feature performances by Rihanna (“Lift Me Up”), Sofia Carson and Diane Warren (“Applause”), Stephanie Hsu, David Byrne and Son Lux (“This Is a Life”), Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava (“Naatu Naatu”), and David Byrne and Son Lux.
The “Poker Face” singer thanked everyone on social media for the nomination.
“I am really grateful that the Academy nominated ‘Hold My Hand’ for an Oscar this year. It was a profound and moving experience for me to write this song for the movie “Top Gun: Maverick,” and I will never forget it. I am so appreciative of the power of film and music.
“Much love to small monsters!” I am now filming on location. However, according to Variety, Gaga is now filming Joker: Folie à Deux. It is probable that she has not revealed anything because of filming logistics.
