Paris Hilton’s memoir, Paris: The Memoir, earlier this month includes a number of alarming disclosures about her private life, including her experiences with abuse at the CEDU boarding school and being injured by artist Pink.

Paris Hilton writes in her book Paris: The Memoir that Demi Lovato gave her the confidence to put her life’s tale together and present it to the public. Hilton explains that the Confident singer’s 2017 documentary Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated compelled her to reflect. “I was as startled as the rest of the world by how real, vulnerable, and gutsy she was,” admitted Paris Hilton.

Hilton went on to say that Demi Lovato talked in the documentary about a tough to reveal sad past and how this intense journey helped her grow toward self acceptance. Hilton desired that self acceptance for herself and hence was inspired by Lovato.

Paris Hilton also discussed the detrimental effects that her early experiences, including being groomed by a teacher, being raped in a mall, and experiencing maltreatment from boarding institutions, had on her life. She would frequently go out and party in order to forget about such things.

Prior to being an It girl and social media influencer, Paris Hilton was well-known because she was related to the Hilton hotel brand. The leak of her sex tape by her ex-boyfriend Rick Salomon, however, was what caused her fast climb to international celebrity.
