Priyanka Chopra disclosed at an event earlier this month that a stylist had recently called her “sample-sized” and insulted her. The actress continued by admitting that the event brought tears to her eyes. Priyanka’s comment drew a response from Hollywood stylist Law Roach, who avoided naming names. He claimed that his remarks were “taken out of context” in a recent interview.

Law Roach added that he likes Priyanka and talked about dressing the actress, who will soon be seen in the web series Citadel on Prime Video, for various occasions over the previous few years. Zendaya, Ariana Grande, and Bella Hadid were among the celebrities Law Roach has dressed. He recently declared his retirement.

Even though the actor had avoided naming anyone, fashion-focused Instagram account Diet Sabya requested its followers to comment on Priyanka Chopra’s recent statement about how a stylist body-shamed her and Law Roach’s response to the actor’s claims.

Diet Sabya added, “We need to have this discussion. I shared clips of Priyanka and Law Roach making their comments at an event and in an interview with The Cut, respectively. The gworlies are under pressure to have a large sample number. Because not all designers want to customize, is there strain on the stylists to find clothing? designers are under pressure to invest their money in bespoke samples. and the relationships of authority between management, stylists, and talent. Discuss.”

Soon after, a variety of comments from Instagram users flooded the post’s comments area. While some voiced shock at the actor’s remarks, others questioned what the big deal was. “I seriously don’t get this atrocity of sizes in the fashion world,” one person wrote. The dresses will eventually be worn by customers who are of various shapes and sizes. Why create unjustified stigma? Guys, wake up. It’s 2023.

Law Roach’s response to Priyanka’s statement, “The most important point is Priyanka spoke about her experience, didn’t name anyone,” was also questioned by someone. I don’t understand why Law made it about himself. Law is a cry baby, plain and simple, said another remark. He jumped in and got involved in the discussion even though Priyanka never brought him up.

Some did, however, support the designer. “Law was only stating facts,” one person said. Priyanka is not a representative population. Was she merely provided information or was she body shamed? The differences between the two are subtle. Another individual questioned why celebrities couldn’t purchase their own clothing. “Pay and get your size!” he stated. What more do you want, to stop crying when you have a ton of companies, acting roles, and endorsements?

Perhaps ready-to-wear brands can stock all sizes, but couture brands never can, according to another remark. Only if it makes sense from a commercial perspective will brands customize. Maybe you should just appreciate a designer’s craft and purchase the clothes — at least at cost price — if you’re so sure of your own vision as a celebrity and want to present yourself that way to the world. “You don’t get to whine when you want free clothes,” a third individual remarked. You can then dress whatever you want and no one will make reference to your size because you paid for it yourself.

I’ve been informed many things that are difficult to hear, Priyanka recently said during a conversation with Amazon Studios president Jennifer Salke at the South by Southwest Film Festival (SXSW 2023) in Los Angeles. I come in feeling awful because I was informed yesterday that I wasn’t “sample sized.” I felt terrible about the fact that I’m not a representative sample size and that this is evidently an issue, so I talked about it with my family, sobbed to my husband, and sobbed to my team. Not the majority of us. Sample-sized refers to a size 2. Who fits size 2? There don’t seem to be many palms.

In the soon-to-be-released Russo Brothers web series Citadel, Priyanka will be starring opposite Richard Madden. Recently, the espionage series’ inaugural trailer was made available. Love Again, starring Sam Heughan and Celine Dion, is one of Priyanka’s upcoming endeavors.
