Jan Rambo Disheartened by Industry’s Neglect Despite 32-Year Career

Actor Afzal Khan, famously known as Jan Rambo, recently aired his frustrations about the lack of recognition he’s received from the government after dedicating 32 years to the entertainment industry. Despite his extensive career, Khan feels his achievements haven’t been properly acknowledged.

In a recent interview hosted by Madeha Rizvi, Khan and his wife, Sahiba, shared their thoughts. Rizvi inquired, “Afzaal bhai, do you have any grievances with the industry?” Afzal Khan candidly replied, “Yes, I do. Even though I’ve acted in nearly 200 films, including ‘The Donkey King,’ which was dubbed in various languages and earned international acclaim, I still feel undervalued.”

Khan also spoke about the topic of awards, expressing his disappointment by saying, “If awards were given based on merit, it would be a matter of pride.” He extended his comments to his mother-in-law, Nishoo Begum, who also faced a lack of recognition. Reflecting on this, Khan questioned, “If she didn’t get her due recognition, what chance do I have?”
