Popular Pakistani actress Kubra Khan recently took to Instagram to share a whimsical wish: she hopes the Gen-Z term ‘Skibidi’ could mean ‘Karma.’ Khan’s Instagram story featured a video of American comedian Stephen Colbert discussing new slang terms used by Generation Alpha.
In her post, the ‘Noor Jahan’ star admitted, “I don’t know what that means but I wish it meant Karma.” According to Google, ‘Skibidi’ is a playful, nonsensical term with no fixed meaning. It often refers to or mocks the absurdity of modern slang and can mean “cool,” “dumb,” or “bad,” depending on context. It is frequently used as a filler word and is associated with meme culture and absurdist humor.
Stephen Colbert, host of ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,’ commented in the viral video, “Meanwhile generation Alpha no it’s not the name of a syndicated Canadian show about teens with superpowers. It’s the term used to refer to kids under 14. They’re in the news because there is now slang unique to generation Alpha such as ‘Sigma,’ ‘Gyatt,’ and ‘Fanum tax’. While Gen Z terms like ‘Slay’ and ‘Tea’ are officially vintage.”
Kubra Khan, known for her standout performances in ‘Sinf-e-Aahan’ and ‘Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay,’ continues to receive acclaim for her role in the ongoing drama ‘Noor Jahan.’ She is also admired for her humility and kindness toward fans, as well as her competitive spirit and interest in video games.
