‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ to Release in Indian Cinemas

Pakistani blockbuster The Legend of Maula Jatt is set to finally hit Indian cinemas in October 2024. The film’s official Instagram account made the announcement, stating, “The Legend Of Maula Jatt’s legacy lives on! Catch the cinematic masterpiece in Indian theatres from 2nd October 2024. Book your tickets now!”

The film, starring Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, was originally scheduled for release in India in December 2022. However, it was postponed indefinitely by Indian authorities, much to the disappointment of fans.

Directed by Bilal Lashari, the movie has broken multiple box office records. As of 2022, The Legend of Maula Jatt grossed $3.58 million domestically and $5.37 million internationally, making it the first Pakistani film to surpass a total of $8.95 million worldwide.

The film is a reboot of the 1979 cult classic Maula Jatt, featuring a star-studded cast including Fawad Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Mahira Khan, Humaima Malick, and more.
