Aamir Khan, one of Indian cinema’s most celebrated actors, has consistently delivered box-office hits. As he prepares for “Sitara Zameen Par” in 2025, Aamir is in talks with several filmmakers to secure an impressive lineup for the coming years. According to Pinkvilla, Aamir has been discussing a comic caper, tentatively titled “Char Din Ki Zindagi”, with his “Andaz Apna Apna” director, Rajkumar Santoshi. Now, exclusive sources reveal that Aamir is discussing an epic big-screen entertainer with director Lokesh Kanagaraj.
Sources close to the development have revealed that Aamir Khan and Lokesh Kanagaraj are in talks about collaborating on a superhero film. “Aamir Khan and Lokesh Kanagaraj have met several times over the past few months, brainstorming various ideas for their potential project. The idea that has excited both of them the most is a superhero film. Lokesh is now working with his team of writers to develop the concept before presenting the first draft to Aamir,” the source shared.
Through the meetings, the duo has been transparent about their present commitments. “Aamir is busy with Sitare Zameen Par and will follow it up by taking a film with either of Rajkumar Santoshi, Zoya Akhtar, or Avinash Arun on floors in 2025. Lokesh on the other hand is shooting for Coolie at the moment and then moves on to Kaithi 2 in 2025. If Aamir likes the script, the superhero film could go on floors in 2026. The idea is presently in the development stage and Lokesh is also charged up to take things to the next level with Aamir Khan,” the source added.
Meanwhile, Aamir Khan will soon shoot his cameo for the Lokesh Kanagaraj-directed film *Coolie* alongside Rajinikanth. The discussions about the cameo arose during conversations about the superhero film, and Aamir graciously agreed to participate. “This will mark a reunion of Aamir and Rajini, and Lokesh has crafted a very special sequence and character. It’s going to be messy, showcasing Aamir like never before,” the source shared.
In addition to the aforementioned projects, Aamir Khan is also discussing “Ghajini 2” with Allu Aravind, believing the subject has significant potential to evolve into a franchise. “He has asked Allu Aravind, Madhu Mantena, and the entire team to develop a compelling subject for “Ghajini 2”. If they finalize it, he could make history by starring in a sequel to the first Rs 100 crore film in Indian cinema. Madhu and his team are brainstorming ideas for “Ghajini 2” to pitch to Aamir. Like with Lokesh’s film, Aamir is also awaiting the first draft of “Ghajini 2”,” the source concluded.
