Cardi B reacts to her teleprompter mishap during Kamala Harris’ rally

Cardi B encountered a technical glitch during Kamala Harris’ rally in Milwaukee on Friday, which momentarily derailed her speech. The 32-year-old rapper faced a teleprompter issue that left her flustered as she addressed the enthusiastic crowd.

“One second, guys. One second,” she said, clearly nervous. “Sorry guys, I’m a little nervous! I’ve been waiting for this moment my whole life. My whole life!” As she struggled to continue, Cardi admitted she needed “patience” for the next couple of minutes until the glitch was fixed.

In a light-hearted moment, she joked, “Patience, where are you, girl?” A staff member eventually provided her with a cell phone to read her speech. “I took my time writing this speech, so I’m going to make sure I deliver it right,” she humbly stated.

“Are we ready to change the next eight years?” Cardi rallied the crowd, highlighting the potential of Harris becoming the first female president of the United States. “Because we are going to make sure we have Kamala Harris in office for eight years!” she declared. At one point, Cardi addressed Harris’ Republican opponent, Donald Trump, asking, “Did you hear what Donny Trump said the other day?” referring to Trump’s controversial comments about protecting women “whether they like it or not.” She added, “Donny, don’t. Please.”

Following the rally, Cardi B shared her thoughts on the awkward moment in a TikTok video, expressing, “my mind be fking racing all goddn day bch.” She defended her decision to read from her phone, stating, “Bch I had to write that st down,” and noted, “B*h I have three kids.”

As the incident circulated on social media, many praised Cardi for maintaining her composure despite the nerves. “Cardi was nervous and the teleprompter broke but she pushed through and delivered the message she has been giving to us since day 1!!” a supporter commented on X, formerly Twitter. Another user appreciated her authenticity, saying, “We love Cardi bc she is not the cookie cutter robot she is authentically herself always!!”]
