Nearly two months ago, on October 12, 2024, Salman Khan’s close friend and NCP leader Baba Siddique was shot dead. The infamous Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the murder. Recent reports now reveal that the shooters had originally planned to assassinate Salman Khan.

A report, reveals that the shooters targeting Baba Siddique initially planned to kill Salman Khan before shooting the NCP leader. According to a source, the accused involved in Baba Siddique’s murder case confessed this during questioning. The accused stated that Salman Khan was on the shooters’ hit list, but they couldn’t reach him due to the actor’s tight security arrangements.

In a shocking turn of events, three men shot Baba Siddique dead on October 12, 2024, on Dussehra evening, outside the Bandra East office of his son, Zeeshan Siddique, in Mumbai. The attackers fired at least six bullets, four of which hit him in the chest. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Salman Khan has repeatedly received death threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang over the past few months. Earlier this year, in April, two men on a bike opened fire outside Galaxy Apartment in Mumbai’s Bandra. Authorities have made several arrests in connection with the incident, and multiple cases have emerged where individuals issued threats to Khan in the name of the gangster.

On Wednesday, a fan appeared on the sets of the film in Dadar West, expressing his desire to watch the shoot. However, security personnel became suspicious of his movements and asked him what he was doing. He responded, “Bishnoi ko bulau kya? (Should I call Lawrence Bishnoi?)”. The man was then taken to the Shivaji Park police station, where authorities are questioning him.

Meanwhile, Khan is currently shooting for AR Murugadoss’ action-entertainer, “Sikandar”. The highly anticipated film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Sharman Joshi, Prateik Babbar, and Sathyaraj in key roles. The film’s first look poster is set to be unveiled on the superstar’s birthday, December 27, 2024.
