Justin Timberlake canceled his December 2, 2024, concert at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City due to a back injury. He announced the news on his Instagram Story on November 30, apologizing to fans and explaining that his doctors advised him to rest longer after injuring his back in New Orleans. Expressing his regret, he said, “I hate doing this.”

Timberlake has postponed eight shows so far during his “Forget Tomorrow World Tour”, which began in April 2024. The tour promotes his latest album, “Everything I Thought It Was”, released in March. In October, he rescheduled six shows in cities like Columbus, Detroit, Chicago, and St. Paul due to bronchitis and laryngitis. He also delayed another October performance in Newark because of an unspecified injury, but the show later took place.

Despite these setbacks, Timberlake plans to return to the stage on December 4 in Houston if his recovery goes as planned. The tour is scheduled to run through December 20 before taking a holiday break, resuming on January 13, 2025, with stops across North America and appearances at festivals in South America and Europe.

Fans in Oklahoma City are awaiting news of a rescheduled date, and Timberlake has promised to provide updates soon. In the meantime, he encouraged fans to visit his official website for the latest changes and new dates.

The tour has encountered multiple disruptions since its launch, including illness-related postponements earlier this year. Timberlake’s album “Everything I Thought It Was” debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and marks his first solo release since 2018’s “Man of the Woods”. While the album has received mixed reviews, fans have embraced tracks like “Selfish” and “Technicolor” during live performances.

Timberlake has not disclosed the exact details of his back injury, but his recent cancellations highlight the challenges of managing a demanding tour schedule. Fans have voiced both disappointment and support for his decision to prioritize his health. His team has reassured audiences that updates will come soon and emphasized that he is eager to return to the stage.
