‘Maharaj’ actress Shalini Pandey recalls hilarious text exchange with Aamir Khan

Actress Shalini Pandey recently shared a humorous anecdote involving Aamir Khan during a conversation with Bollywood Hungama.

Known for her role as Kishori in the historical drama Maharaj, Shalini recalled a funny text exchange with Aamir, who is the father of her co-star Junaid Khan.

Shalini was supposed to attend the success party for Maharaj when she received a message from Aamir asking if she would be attending.

Initially confused, she asked him to identify himself, to which he replied, “Junaid’s dad.” Not immediately recognizing the reference, she responded, “Who’s Junaid’s dad?” It was only moments later that she realized she was speaking to Aamir Khan.

Embarrassed, she apologized, but Aamir took it in stride, laughing and saying, “Of course, I am your uncle; I am Junaid’s dad!”Shalini explained that for a brief moment, she forgot who Junaid’s dad was.

The film Maharaj, which also stars Jaideep Ahlawat and Sharvari, marks Junaid’s acting debut and is based on the 1862 Maharaj Libel Case. On the work front, Shalini is currently filming her upcoming Tamil movie Idly Kadai, alongside actors Dhanush and Nithya Menen.
