The investigation into singer Liam Payne’s death continues, two months after his fall in Buenos Aires. The case has led to further charges following three earlier indictments.
According to documents obtained by Rolling Stone, a judge has charged two additional hotel workers, including the head receptionist who made the emergency 911 call.
The court document stated, “Since there is sufficient reason to suspect that they have participated in the investigated act, we ask that the following people give a statement.”
The identities and specific charges remain unclear. Two individuals accused of providing drugs to the former One Direction member will be questioned on December 17, with their court appearance scheduled for December 19.
Payne’s friend, charged with abandoning him and contributing to his death, will face questioning on December 18.
Rolling Stone also revealed details of the 911 calls made that night. The first call described the guest as “trashing the entire room” and being “too intoxicated with drugs and alcohol.” The second call expressed concern, stating that the “guest’s life might be in danger.”
Payne tragically passed away on October 16, 2024, at the age of 31 after falling from a three-story building in Argentina.
