Harry Styles turns down role opposite ‘Game of Thrones’ star Emilia Clarke
Harry Styles, one of the most renowned singers in the music industry, turned down a significant role alongside Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke. Styles, who has appeared in high-profile films like Dunkirk, Eternals, My Policeman, and Don’t Worry Darling, declined the lead role in Paul Feig’s Last Christmas for personal reasons.
The former One Direction member revealed during promotions for his 2022 film that he felt he was not the right fit for the role. “I felt I was too young for the role in Last Christmas,” he explained.
Despite this, director Paul Feig had high hopes for casting Styles. “I love Harry. We wanted him to play the part that Henry Golding played, but he turned it down because he felt he was too young for the role. I’ve tried to get him in a few movies,” Feig shared.
Ultimately, the role went to Henry Golding, who starred opposite Emilia Clarke in the 2019 romantic comedy.
Additionally, it was previously revealed that Styles was offered Nicholas Hoult’s role in the 2024 horror film Nosferatu. However, scheduling conflicts prevented him from taking on the project. Fans of Styles continue to look forward to his next cinematic venture, as his acting career grows alongside his music.
