Amitabh Bachchan’s son in law Nikhil Nanda faces charges of fraud, abetment to suicide
Nikhil Nanda, son-in-law of Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan, is currently at the center of a serious legal case involving allegations of fraud and abetment to suicide. A case was filed against Nanda in the Badaun district of Uttar Pradesh, following the tragic suicide of businessman Jitendra Singh in November 2024.
Singh, who owned Jai Kisan Traders, a tractor dealership in Dataganj, had reportedly been under intense pressure from Nanda and other senior executives at Escorts Kubota Limited to meet unrealistic sales targets.
Singh, who was already managing his business alone after his partner, Lalla Babu, was imprisoned over a family dispute, allegedly faced threats of losing his dealership license if he did not meet the target.
Overwhelmed by the pressure, Singh tragically took his own life. Singh’s brother, Gyanendra, filed the complaint that led to the legal case against Nanda and other officials, including the chairman and managing director of Escorts Kubota, area managers, sales managers, and a local dealer from Shahjahanpur. They are accused of fraud, intimidation, and driving Singh to suicide.
Nikhil Nanda, who holds a prominent position as the Chairman and Managing Director of Escorts Kubota, has not commented publicly on the allegations.
The Bachchan family, including Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, has also refrained from commenting. Nikhil is married to Shweta Bachchan and has two children, Navya Naveli Nanda and Agastya Nanda.
Despite his significant role in growing Escorts Kubota, Nikhil’s connection to the Kapoor family and Bollywood has not shielded him from the ongoing legal issue.
