Drake’s video throwing slipper at drone sparks controversy
Drake has been at the center of a heated feud with Kendrick Lamar in recent weeks, with Lamar even performing his viral diss track Not Like Us during the Super Bowl halftime show. Now, a new video of Drake has surfaced online, showing a drone inside his apartment, which left him visibly shocked.
In the clip, the droneâs camera captured Drakeâs laptop on his desk, with a gambling site open. As the rapper entered the room, he appeared startled, grabbing a slipper and attempting to hit the drone. However, the drone dodged the attack and quickly flew out of the apartment, revealing a view of the sky.
Many social media users on X were skeptical about Drake’s video, claiming it seemed staged. One person commented, âThis is so staged itâs insulting he thought we would believe this.â Another pointed out the reflection of the drone operator in the clip, writing, âStaged, drone pilot sitting in the corner.â
Another user suggested the video was an ad for the gambling site seen on the laptop: âSubtle @Stake product placement: glass perfectly full, homepage feature, zero distractions…marketing team deserves a raise đ«Ą.â A similar comment read, âI refuse to think that this is not an ad for that gambling site.â
Meanwhile, Drake recently dropped his album $ome $exy $ongs 4 U with PartyNextDoor. At a show in Australia, he wore a hoodie adorned with fake bullet holes, seemingly referencing the shots taken at him in recent months.
