Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan reunite for AR Murugadoss’ Next? Director reveals

Salman Khan will next star in the highly anticipated film “Sikandar”. This project marks his first collaboration with AR Murugadoss, the director of the Aamir Khan starrer “Ghajini”. The filmmaker has now addressed the possibility of a film featuring Salman alongside Shah Rukh Khan.

In a recent interview, AR Murugadoss addressed questions about working with Shah Rukh Khan after collaborating with Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. He also responded to rumors about directing a film featuring both Salman and SRK.

Murugadoss shared that he is currently focused on completing his Tamil project. He stated, “Once I finish, I will sit down with Sajid (Nadiadwala) sir, and if everything aligns, we might plan something exciting.”

Sikandar features Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna alongside Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sharman Joshi. The film is set to hit cinemas on March 30, 2025, and fans are eagerly awaiting its trailer.

In an exclusive conversation with Pinkvilla, AR Murugadoss revealed what to expect from the trailer. He explained that their goal is to satisfy the first-day, first-show audience while also showcasing that “Sikandar” is more than just a mass film—it’s an entertainer with strong repeat value.

Disclosing the runtime of the film, the director stated, “The first half of Sikandar is around 1 hour and 15 minutes, and the second half is about 1 hour and 5 minutes. The overall run time is about 2 hours and 20 minutes.”

Shah Rukh Khan is preparing to begin shooting for his next film, “King”, an action thriller directed by “Pathaan” filmmaker Siddharth Anand. The cast also includes Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Abhay Verma. According to an exclusive report by Pinkvilla, the film will start production in Mumbai around May or June, followed by extensive schedules in Europe.
