Sonam Kapoor reveals she was nervous to leave Vayu at home

Sonam Kapoor was present in Jeddah for the Red Sea International Film Festival. She recently uploaded a video in which she discussed how anxious she felt when travelling to the airport. It was her first foreign event since the birth of the child, therefore she was asked in the video if she would miss her newborn son Vayu.

Sonam shared, “I’m going to miss him so much. I’m very nervous to leave him behind even if it is just for a day. He is with my mom and my sister so I am not that stressed. I am literally going for 20 hours. I have figured out a way to leave in the morning and come back.”

Sonam Kapoor, a new mother, opted for a simple, uncomplicated appearance at the airport. She wore a long cream trench coat over a beige outfit. As she travelled to Jeddah for the occasion, she was also wearing a pair of oversized sunglasses. The actor, who shared the video, also thanked her crew in the caption of the post. “One day for @chopard at the @redseafilm With my best team.”

Sonam arrived in style at the Red Sea International Film Festival wearing a red dress with ornate sleeves. She added a big diamond necklace to it. Later, she changed into a similarly stunning yellow outfit.

Along with Sonam, several other Bollywood stars also attended the festival. Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Priyanka Chopra were among those present. Sonam’s subsequent appearance will be in Blind, a Sujoy Ghosh production. She finished the filming before finding out she was expecting Vayu. She was born to the actor on August 20.

When discussing her job after the baby was born, Sonam had earlier stated, “I always was a little picky. I’m not really in the rat race, I’m just doing my own thing. I don’t think that will change, but priorities do change and I think that the child will become mine. The truth of the matter is that they didn’t choose to come into this world. You decided to bring them here, so it’s a very selfish decision. I will try to do the best I can as a mother, which means that acting will definitely take a backseat, but I don’t think I will ever stop working completely.”
