Pathaan has put Shah Rukh Khan on an unprecedented winning streak at the box office. The Siddharth Anand-directed film is on a rampage at the box office on Saturday after earning an opening weekend total of Rs 165.50 crore (All Versions). Early projections indicate that the thrilling action movie will earn between Rs 54 crore and Rs 220 crore on day 4, bringing its total earnings to that amount. Even with the exception of other languages, the Hindi version will help the movie reach a double century, with a four-day Hindi total of around Rs 212 crore.

In India, Pathaan is shattering records left, right, and centre. In the long run, it’s expected to set a lot more records. The movie already has the biggest opening day, single day, and opening weekend under its belt, and in its five-day run, it will also have the biggest opening week ever. The Hindi movie will surpass all previous records at the box office by Sunday night in the post-pandemic era. The numbers Pathaan put up throughout the course of its four-day run are beyond the reach of words, yet the game has only barely started.

Aside from the box office receipts, Pathaan is also dominating the foot traffic fronts. Over 1.15 crore Indians have watched Pathaan in only four days (approximate figures; actuals may be slightly higher or lower), and the film is likely to draw between 1.50 crore and 1.55 crore viewers over its five-day opening weekend. What once appeared like a far-off fantasy could suddenly become a reality because Pathaan has a good chance of bringing in 3 crore visitors to the Indian box office. Tiger Zinda Hai, starring Salman Khan, sold more than 3 crore tickets in India as of 2017. Pathaan has the opportunity to surpass Dangal’s (2016) box office performance and set a new mark for the most people who have seen a feature film in a single day.

Pathaan is pulling in unheard-of numbers on single screens, which boosts audience attendance and lowers the average movie ticket price. Given the current trends, Pathaan’s five-day extended weekend will set a record-breaking total somewhere around Rs 275 crore, and it won’t be long before it joins the 300 crore club. Pathaan is certain to surpass Dangal and become an All-Time Grosser. It also appears that Pathaan will be the movie that eventually breaks Bahubali 2’s Hindi box office record (Rs 510 crore). After a four-year absence, Shah Rukh Khan is back, and it appears that by the time Pathaan is over, he will have broken every significant Hindi record.
