In a recent interview, Anurag Kashyap discussed his dating experiences. The director recalls once joining Tinder and meeting possible dates on the app while promoting his most recent movie, Almost Pyaar, with DJ Mohabbat. Anurag claimed to be using himself on the dating app. He stated that he deleted Tinder after connecting with his friend and movie producer Guneet Monga through the dating app.

Anurag, who frequently discusses his personal life, was previously wed to both actor Kalki Koechlin and film editor Aarti Bajaj. He keeps in touch with his ex-wives and frequently mentions them in interviews and postings on social media. From 1997 to 2009, Anurag and Aarti were wed, and from 2011 to 2015, the filmmaker was wed to Kalki. Aaliyah Kashyap, a child from his first marriage, is his only child.

In an interview with Unfiltered By Samdish, Anurag said when asked if he has ever used Tinder under his own name, “Haan, maine Tinder download kiya tha apne liye (Yes, I had downloaded Tinder for myself once). It showed the person closest to me; first, it showed me my manager, the next person it showed me was Guneet Monga. Then I deleted Tinder. I was like ye mere apne logo ko dikha raha hai (Tinder showed me my own people).”ople.””

Last year, Guneet wed businessman Sunny Kapoor in a Gurudwara in Mumbai during an Anand Karaj ceremony. Among many others, Guneet is the producer of the movies Gangs of Wasseypur, The Lunchbox, Masaan, Zubaan, and Pagglait. Kartiki Gonsalves’ and Guneet’s production, The Elephant Whisperers, is competing for best documentary short at the 2018 Oscars.

Alaya F and Karan Mehta played the leads in Almost Pyaar, Anurag‘s most recent movie, which also starred DJ Mohabbat. The movie was made available on February 3. Anurag revealed in a recent interview with Mashable India that his ex-wife Aarti had expelled him from their home because he was an alcoholic. “I locked myself in a room, and that’s when the drinking began. It was over. I used to drink heavily for a year and a half. Aarti kicked me out of the house. My daughter (Aaliya) was only four years old then. That was a difficult phase. I was depressed.”
