Actress Raveena Tandon spoke about her brief engagement to Akshay Kumar. Together in the movie Mohra, the couple eventually called off their engagement. When discussing it, Raveena stated her name has continued to be associated with the “broken engagement” and she is baffled as to why people can’t move on. She also discussed the allegations that out of bitterness, Akshay later dated Raveena-like women.

After collaborating on the 1994 blockbuster movie Mohra, Raveena and Akshay Kumar started dating. They got engaged in the late 1990s, claims Raveena. They separated later. When asked about the Akshay Kumar engagement in a recent conversation, Raveena noted how it still appears whenever her name is typed into Google.

She said,  “It comes up, and it comes up like there’s a war between everyone whom he’s involved with. Hello, once I had moved out of his life, I was already dating someone else, and he was already dating someone else, so kahan se jealousy ayegi (where will jealousy come from)?”

Raveena claimed she “forgotten” precisely when she and Akshay became engaged since she decided not to read any correspondence at the time. “We were a hit pair, during Mohra, and even now, when we bump into each other socially, we all meet, we all chat. Everyone moves on. Girls have been changing their boyfriends every week in colleges, but one engagement that has broken is still stuck to my head, I don’t know why. Everyone moves on, people have divorces, they move on, what’s the big deal,” she said.

Akshay began dating Twinkle Khanna, his International Khiladi co-star, after splitting from Raveena. Aarav and Nitara are their two children, and they were married in 2001. Anil Thadani, a businessman, and Raveena got married. Both son Ranbirvardhan Thadani and daughter Rasha Thadani were born to them.
