On Friday, Kareena Kapoor premiered the fourth season of her chat show What Women Want. While promoting the show, the actor also discussed her personal and professional lives. Kareena claimed that despite being a popular and successful performer, she is very hands-on at home and even involves her kids in chores.
She said that setting an example was vital to both her and her husband, actor Saif Ali Khan. The actress said she is aware that her two young children, Jehangir Ali Khan, 2, and Taimur Ali Khan, 6, are observing what they are doing. It was crucial for her to strike a balance between her profession and her family.
Kareena explained to Film Companion journalist Sneha Menon Desai the following: “I enjoy multitasking. I adore being a star, a housewife, and an actor. I enjoy managing the house. I enjoy that I’ll probably clear the table by myself when I have guests around. I will say, “Waise karo” (do this, do that). I talk about all of that. That is a huge part of who I am.”
She added, “I’m passionate and I like to keep doing something. If the grandparents or someone is coming over, they’ll also help. I’ll tell Tim [Taimur], come on, help lay the table. They have to see yourselves cooking and come to the kitchen. Everyone’s hanging together, listening to music.”
Saif is the son of actor Sharmila Tagore, and Kareena is the daughter of actors Randhir Kapoor and Babita Kapoor. During his first marriage to actress Amrita Singh, Saif also has two kids: actors Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan.
She last appeared as Rupa in Lal Singh Chaddha. The Aamir Khan-starring movie was a remake of the Forrest Gump movie from Hollywood (1994). Kareena‘s next appearance will be in Sujoy Ghosh’s The Devotion of Suspect X, a Netflix original movie. Moreover, she has finished filming The Buckingham Murders, on which she also serves as producer. Hansal Mehta is the director of the movie.
