Swara Bhasker thanks Pakistani designer Ali Xeeshan for his ‘generosity’

Actress Swara Bhasker recently shared updated images of her Ali Xeeshan-designed Walima costume. In Delhi, she and her husband Fahad Ahmad once again threw a wedding reception. The couple’s attire came exclusively from Lahore for the occasion.

Swara published more close-up pictures while revealing the specifics of the costume. Swara was pictured wearing a beige lehenga with elaborate embroidery. She wore it with a nose ring and a large matha patti. To complete the ensemble, Fahad chose a golden kurta, a white sherwani, and a white-golden dupatta.

While some pictures showed them posing by themselves in their outfits, others showed them together at the reception location. “My Walima outfit came all the way from Lahore via Dubai- Bombay-Delhi finally to Bareilly! “Ali Xeeshan not only sent Jodi outfits for @FahadZirarAhmad & me, but customised them painstakingly with personalised details & messages embroidered into the exquisite garments. My sarhad-paar ki bestie @Natrani came to our rescue & enabled the outfits to reach Dubai,” she also added. “From sarhad paar Annie rescued me in crisis. Ali who has never met me & is based in Lahore managed to send me my dream outfit for a wedding finale! Makes me realise love & friendship cannot be contained in borders & boundaries. Feeling blessed & grateful.”

A user responded to the look by writing, “Congrats ma’m. At least someone caring for the poor Pakistani economy.” “Swara mam you looking so beautiful. congratulations,” a second person chimed in. She received criticism for not choosing an Indian designer as well.

Swara wed Fahad, the Samajwadi Yuvjan Sabha’s state president and a member of the Samajwadi Party. In January of this year, the couple registered their nuptials and were engaged. They fell in love after meeting at a demonstration in 2020.

In addition to hosting a variety of wedding rituals, including haldi and mehendi and a musical night from each of their various religions, the couple just got married in Delhi. There were a lot of politicians at their wedding celebration.
