Twinkle Khanna shares Akshay Kumar and Nitara new picture

On Saturday, author and former actress Twinkle Khanna shared a snapshot of her husband Akshay Kumar, and their daughter Nitara Bhatia with her Instagram followers. Twinkle posted the picture along with some lovely comments about embracing love without reservation.

Akshay Kumar and Nitara are seen in the picture with their backs to the camera. Nitara wore a beige top and yellow pants, while Akshay wore a pink shirt, blue jeans, and a black hat. The actor’s hand was also resting on what appeared to be his daughter’s scooter. The picture was taken in a park with lots of trees. Twinkle contributed her voice to the story and shared the picture. “Easier said than done. But push that door open. Evolution has programmed us to be afraid — of the dark, strangers, changes and even love.”

“We open doors to our hearts because we are compelled. But not completely. We hold it ajar. Unable to step out. Letting the light dapple on our arm and the side of our cheek, while we stand in the shadowy doorway. Hinges crusted with past scabs, the door needs a firm push. We wait. The sun sets without us revelling in its light. Push the door, ignore the screeching hinges, love with all your heart, love generously, fearlessly, in dollops and not dribs,” She then solicited feedback from the audience.

Immediately after she uploaded the picture, several people complimented her voice in the comments. “Oh my God! Your voice.” “Your words resonate so well with the trials and tribulations we encounter every day! Thank for putting out heart’s echoes into words,”  she continued. Another person remarked, “Let’s just live on our own terms and love joyously without holding back… Society too is a bit f*d up, judgmental cn*ts!”

Her post follows the underwhelming box office results of Akshay Kumar‘s most recent film, Selfie. On its first day of release, the movie received “shockingly low numbers,” earning roughly 1.30 crore net across major chains in India. His most recent movies, Raksha Bandhan and Samrat Prithviraj, too struggled to draw audiences into theatres.

Together with Mouni Roy, Aparshakti Khurana, Disha Patani, Sonam Bajwa, and Nora Fatehi, Akshay is now on tour with The Entertainers in the United States. Friday saw him perform in Atlanta.
