- The new Chris Young arrived with the new year.
- But his silky voice, which has been featured on numerous No. 1 hits.
- Young emits a fleeting giggle to break the tension.
Chris Young, 37, reveals to the secret to his nearly 50-pound weight loss, which has been happening since early last fall: “I have been making my own food a lot more.” “I was not [preparing meals for myself]. Additionally, I am exercising a little bit more.”
But his silky voice, which has been featured on numerous No. 1 hits throughout his country music career, such as “The Man I Want to Be” and “I am Comin’ Over,” has remained the same.
And now that the New Year has here, Young is releasing new music, including the poignant ode to man’s best friend and the bond that Young says he imagines lasting far longer than simply a lifetime, “All Dogs Go to Heaven.”
Young, along with Corey Crowder and Cale Dodds, co-wrote the song, which is titled “We Do not Get to Keep Our Pets Forever.” “But hopefully we will always have them. It seems to apply to any kind of animal love, but Porter comes to mind first. My guy is that.”
Young adds that his attachment with Porter, his 5-year-old German Shepherd, was immediate and strong from the beginning. Young got Porter as a Christmas present from his sister when the dog was barely “the size of a baked potato.”
Young recalls, “I got to pick him up and hold him before his eyes were even open. It is most likely among the best presents I have ever received. Having him here has been wonderful. And even though I know I will eventually lose him, you simply want to hang onto him forever, do not you know?
Young emits a fleeting giggle to break the tension.
As big as he is and as swift as he is, he will eventually break one of my ACLs.
