Cory, who currently competes as Westin Blake, wrote a letter to the Tough enough champion two weeks after the passing of former WWE wrestler Sara Lee on Oct. 5 at the age of 30.

“Dear Sara, I loved you from the first moment I saw you,” he wrote in an Oct. 21 Instagram post. “I would always say that you were an angel walking on this earth.”

The remainder of Cory’s statement focused on Sara’s legacy and the numerous roles she played in their life together, including that of mother to their children Brady, 3, Case Oliver, 14 months, 5, and Piper.

“An angel that blessed me with 3 of the most beautiful children I could imagine,” he continued. “But you were soo much more than just mom. You were a motivator, a best friend, a sister, a daughter, an aunt, the backbone of our family, and (my favorite), my wife.”

The 35-year-old said, “I truly don’t know what to say in these uncertain times,” as she reflected on life without Sara. There are certain things he is certain of, though.

“I just know that death can’t take away the memories we made,” he wrote. “I can’t promise that I will stop grieving but I know now, that you’re free.”

He added, “I can’t thank you enough for giving me the best years of my life so far.”

Cory’s heartfelt message comes after Terri, the TV personality’s mother, shared the sad news of her daughter’s loss on social media on October 6. Terri’s post was accompanied by a picture showing herself helping Sara up.

She posted on Facebook, “It is with heavy hearts we wanted to convey that our Sara Weston has gone to be with Jesus.” “The plans are incomplete, and we are all in shock. We humbly request that you allow our family to grieve.”

“We all need prayers, especially Cory and her children,” she ended. There is no known official cause of death.
