Everyone from Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild to Lady A’s Hillary Scott was in attendance to support a collaborator who has grown to be a beloved friend during the wedding of singer/songwriter Emily Weisband and medical sales agent Dylan Toscano in October.

In addition to bridesmaids RaeLynn and Lauren Daigle and more than 220 invited guests, Weisband, 29, says, “I really wanted to spend the day with folks who have poured into me in more ways than just music.”

The celebrity-studded wedding, which was organized with the aid of Grey Boroff from House of Grey Events, took place on October 1 at Southern Trace Farms in Franklin, Tennessee, and highlighted the pair, who had been dating for more than 2.5 years before their big day.

Weisband, who originally earned her career as a Grammy-winning songwriter for major musicians like Camila Cabello, Dan + Shay, and Keith Urban, says, “We knew we wanted our wedding to feel like a celebration.” “We leaned into who we are because we didn’t want to just slot our narrative into the wedding formula everyone does.”

“We love food and if we are fighting, we make a delicious meal and sit down at the table and push our differences aside,” explains Weisband with a chuckle, adding that Juniper Green catered the food, which includes a wide selection of dishes inspired by fall and Mediterranean/Italian flavors. “So, we got married at the table! Our guests were seated at their reception tables, and we got married there. After we said, ‘I Do’ and kissed, we walked to our seats and sat down to eat.”

Naturally, that stroll gave the native Virginian the chance to flaunt her exquisite Galia Lahav dress, which was brilliantly captured in pictures. Weisband and Toscano’s sparkling new wedding rings were also on exhibit.

Weisband, whose wedding was conducted by Ryan Lampa, the founder and CEO of the Nashville non-profit organization People Loving Nashville, adds, “We opted to buy our wedding bands in each other’s hometowns.” “We got mine at American Jewelry in Brentwood, and we bought his at Ulman’s, a mom-and-pop jewelry shop in my hometown of Fredericksburg, Virginia.”

Weisband also chooses to don her mother’s 1992 wedding shoes as part of the “something old” custom. Just before she walked down the aisle, Toscano gave her an opal necklace as her “something new,” and her grandma wore a blue outfit as the “something blue.” However, “something borrowed”?

That ended up being a last-minute addition to Weisband’s schedule.

She recalls, “I didn’t have something borrowed. “Then, during dinner, one of our guests approached me and inquired if I had anything that could be borrowed. She asked if I would like to wear her diamond bracelet for the remainder of the night, and when I declined, she removed it. It was just adorable!”

It wasn’t surprising that Weisband and Toscano chose to write their own vows coming from the woman who has written countless songs in her lifetime, but it did surprise her that they were going to recite them aloud for the first time in front of all their guests.

“The original plan was to share them in private during our first look, but the morning of the wedding Dylan texted me and asked if I would be OK with doing them in front of everyone,” Weisband remembers. “He had a feeling in his gut that we were supposed to and it’s a good thing we did because it made the whole night!”

Weisband has whisked away as the afterparty got going to change into a handmade Olia Zavozina dress that was ideal for an evening of dancing and enjoyment. A handwritten note from the bride, who spent a total of three months penning a unique note to each of her guests, was given to each guest as they left the reception.

Weisband provided late-night refreshments like donuts, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream, and pizza from DeSano Pizza Bakery, adding, “I was most excited to give our guests a unique experience and show them who we are via that experience.”

“It was exciting for everyone to arrive and realize this was going to be a little different than other weddings they’d been to. The energy was electric. When I walked down the aisle, everyone stood and cheered — clapping and whooping and hollering. It felt so joyful from the start!”

Weisband now anticipates carrying this happiness into their joint futures, which have already included a honeymoon that was spent in both New York City and Ireland.

“We are really excited to grow in our partnership,” says Weisband, whose new single “Deathbed” touches on the idea of what is going to matter the most when one comes to the end of their day. “It’s so relieving to face the daunting thing that is the future and realize that you have a teammate who is genuine as invested in what you’re building as you are. You’re not alone.”
