Hunters, a conspiracy drama series on Prime Video with Al Pacino and Logan Lerman, debuted in February 2020. Now, little under three years later, the programme is returning, and the first trailer was just made public. On January 13, the whole second and final season of Hunters, which centres on a group of Nazi hunters in the 1970s, will be accessible to stream.

The hunters are set to embark on their most ambitious expedition yet in the second season. The hunt for Adolf Hitler is put on hold after a string of failures when it is learned that he is still alive and is skulking somewhere in South America. Furthermore, throughout the course of the season, flashbacks will reveal a previous mission of the team’s former leader (Pacino) that has repercussions that continue into the present.

The dark comedy, anti-Nazi action, and Pacino are all things that viewers enjoyed about the first season, and the trailer, which is less than a minute long, successfully brings it back. Great humour may be found in the trailer. When Josh Radnor’s character asks if anyone has a gun he can use, the entire squad digs through their arsenal to find one for him. Additionally, it teases every possible bit of Nazi-hunting action. We can only hope that some Nazis are on the receiving end of the bullets in the quick shots of the main characters engaging in gun battles in the trailer. The final seconds of the trailer feature a little preview of Pacino’s plot as he sits down with some adversaries.

In the following season, Greg Austin, Tiffany Boone, Carol Kane, Louis Ozawa, Pacino, Lerman, Jerrika Hinton, Lena Olin, and Kate Mulvany will all reprise their roles. Jennifer Jason Leigh has also joined the cast of the next season. David Weil is the showrunner, executive producer, and creator of Hunters. Other executive producers include Phil Abraham, David J. Rosen, Jerry Kupfer, Alfonso Gomez-Rejon, and Win Rosenfeld for Monkeypaw Productions; David Ellender and Matt Loze for Halcyon Studios; and Jordan Peele and Win Rosenfeld for Monkeypaw Productions.

Amazon will also make a companion podcast, Chutzpah: Hunters Presents True Stories of Resistance, available before the series’ conclusion. The first three episodes will be made accessible on December 13 and the final three will be made available on January 3. Weil will serve as the host of the six-episode series, which will focus on “amazing factual stories of heroism, resistance, and sacrifice throughout the Holocaust.” Peele will also serve as executive producer of the podcast.

Beginning on January 13, Prime Video subscribers will be able to see every episode of Hunters’ second and final season. View the most recent trailer below:
